This scenic course was built on rolling terrain in a heavily-wooded area. The name of the club is derived from the fact that this is the original farm where the Butternut Squash originated. The design features narrow fairways that put a premium on shot accuracy. The greens are larger than average and some are elevated and moderately undulating. Water hazards (ponds and wetlands) come into play on nine holes. The most difficult hole is #10, a 625-yard, par 5 (that one day may become a par 6), considered to be one of the longest holes in the country without a sand bunker, featuring a severe dogleg right fairway and water guarding the green. Nine hole play is not permitted on weekends, except after twilight. The nine hole weekend rate shown is the twilight rate. Senior discounts are available Monday through Thursday.
