This club, the home course of Bobby Jones, is rich in tradition and has two outstanding 18-hole courses. Both are long and difficult tests. Robert Trent Jones designed the Highlands back nine in 1964, and Joe Finger designed the front nine. The course hosted the 1976 U.S. Open and the PGA Championship in 1981 and 2001, and the PGA will return in 2011. Riverside was the site of the 1990 U.S. Women's Open.
