Resort, 36 holes, $111.00 - $111.00

This resort has two eighteen hole courses. The traditional Ocean Course is open and has small greens. Originally design by Herbert Strong in 1928, it was redesigned by Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1947 and by Bobby Weed in 1998. Its claim to fame is that it has the first island green ever built, on its 9th hole. The course is scenic and well bunkered. The ocean wind frequently comes into play, so proper club selection is a big part of the game. The Ryder Cup was scheduled to be held here in 1939, but had to be canceled because World War II broke out. The Lagoon Course is the easier of the two courses, but it is tighter. Water comes into play on thirteen holes. The clubhouse and facilities were renovated in 2001. You must be a guest of the hotel or a guest of a member to play the course.
