Resort, 36 holes, $$$$$
On 1,350 acres between the tranquil beaches of the Atlantic and the tidal marshes of the Intracoastal Waterway lies a secluded island paradise offering a resort and golf experience like no other -- Amelia Island Plantation. The resort boasts 72 holes of championship golf that have received numerous awards and distinctions, including being recognized as a "Silver Medal Golf Resort" by Golf Magazine.

Also available is Amelia Island Plantation's School of Golf, providing the ideal golf learning environment. Carefully placed between the Spanish moss-covered, towering oaks, the greens and fairways of three golf courses -- 36 hole Amelia Links designed by Pete Dye and Bobby Weed and the 18 hole Long Point by Tom Fazio -- border the ocean, marshes and wooded interior of the resort and offer the challenge of seven holes playing directly along the Atlantic Ocean! Each course is notable for its varying characteristics and individuality that allow players of differing skill levels to create their own golf experience.

  •  Oak Marsh, designed by Pete Dye is exemplary in the use of design elements that reflect the preservations of nature. Appropriately named for its location under the centuries-old live oaks, majestic pines, serpentine marshlands and lush forest, the 6,500 yard par 72 Oak Marsh earns the reputation as the most demanding course at the Amelia Links.

  • Ocean Links, designed by both Dye and Bobby Weed, is regarded as the premier course of the Links collection. Ocean Links', par 70, 6,100 yards is somewhat deceiving since small greens, narrow fairways and prevailing winds make the course play much longer. Ocean Links also hosts a unique combination of five holes on the Atlantic Ocean. The close proximity to the ocean and ever changing sea breeze, provide golfers of all levels exhilarating views and intriguing golf.

  • Long Point, designed by Tom Fazio, was carefully crafted amidst the marshland and natural dune ridges of the Intracoastal Waterway, known as Nassau Sound. Golfweek magazine included Long Point as one of "America's 75 Best Resort Courses." The 18 holes mold to the topography of the land emphasizing sweeping views of the island, rolling fairways and protective 50-foot tall dunes.

  • Royal Amelia, open to the public and located just three miles from the resort's main entrance, offers a Tom Jackson designed 18-hole layout, sculpted around a forest of majestic live oaks, sabal palms, pines and wax myrtles.
  • At Amelia Island Plantation, golf is just the beginning. Other resort amenities include 3.5 miles of wide, uncrowded beach, 23 clay tennis courts, Health & Fitness Center, luxury spa, 23 swimming pools, year-round, age-specific Youth Program, ten restaurants, and The Falcon's Nest, an aviation themed nightspot where everyone gathers and more!
