As part of a $100 million makeover of the resort, more than $30 million was spent to upgrade and redesign the two courses at Turnberry which reopened in 2007.
Raymond Floyd was brought in to oversee the project. The South course is classic Florida golf, featuring lush, tropical grounds with subtle elevation changes and contoured fairways. The signature hole is the 18th, a 545-yard, par 5, requiring an approach shot to an island green.
The North Course, which is more forgiving, is still a challenge.
