SERVICE
We got a little nervous when the starter told us our tee time wasn't listed, but this was quickly cleared up and we were soon on our way to the first tee. On the course, the cart girl hovered like an angel of mercy on a hot and humid day.

PACE OF PLAY
We were one of the first groups off on a midweek morning, so traffic was light. A ranger patrolled the fairways but handed out no tickets. On weekends expect a slower pace on one of Ohio's toughest public courses.

QUALITY
Local boy Art Hills carved this 7,243-yard gem from rolling land an hour east of Columbus, and it's definitely a work of Art. There are plenty of challenges, but choose the right tees and you won't endure anything unfair.

VALUE
The $89 you'll pony up in the fall goes a long way here — a cart and range balls are included. The course is worth every penny, and would cost a lot more in a major metro area. Plus they treat you like a pro, even if you don't play like one.

VERDICT
This is the kind of Art that everyone can appreciate. Longaberger is ranked No. 57 on Golf Magazine's Top 100 Courses You Can Play. It's also close to Columbus, No. 2 on our Best Golf Cities in America ranking.
