Ranked No. 97 on our Top 100 Courses You Can Play, Lake of Isles' North course is the public half of a 36-hole complex sculpted by Rees Jones on a rugged site in southeastern Connecticut. The result is a challenging layout that skips around an endless array of hazards.
Among the stunners are the 216-yard, par-3 2nd, which plays over an elbow of the lake, and the dogleg-left, 459-yard, par-4 18th, with its watery tee shot. And if the course ends up taking too much out of you, just head across the street to the Foxwoods Resort Casino. It might just be a relief getting back to level terrain.
