What’s inside: High luxury in the high desert comes in the form of Kierland’s trio of two-bedroom Presidential Suites. Each weighs in at a roomy 2,135 square feet, with an interior graced with plush appointments and design features inspired by Arizona’s striking landscape. The master bedroom is a place of royal comfort, furnished with a king-sized four-bedroom poster bed and flanked by a master bathroom with a large Roman-style tub. Two additional bathrooms, one off the guest bedroom, have separate tubs and showers (with dual shower heads) and marble counters stocked with a range of spa products. Desert-themed artwork enlivens the spacious living room, which gives way to a designated workspace equipped with all the high-tech hook ups of a fully wired office. The kitchen, for its part, is built to fit the needs of a caterer. It opens to a dining room that seats eight around a stately mahogany table. For other kinds of entertainment, both bedrooms and the living room have flat screen TVs, DVD players and iPod ports that link to high-fidelity speakers. There is also an armoire, stocked with a full bar, and an expansive private balcony, with golf course and mountain views that make it the perfect happy-hour perch.

The living room is spacious and fully stocked with the latest technology.

What else you get: The property has the feel of an upscale playground, with 27-holes of impeccably groomed golf and innovative ways for you to take them on. If a golf cart’s not your style, you can go about your round on a Segway or a golf bike. You can even surf the turf on a GolfBoard, which lets you ride the fairways like a surfer on the waves. Family-friendly diversions abound, including a kids’ camp, a lazy river, a water slide and an attraction called the FlowRider, which challenges you to hang 10 a long way from the coast. There’s plenty, of course, for adults too, including a full-service spa and a range of dining options, highlighted by refined Latin-inspired cuisine at acclaimed Deseo.

The course is one of a growing number across the country offering Golf Boards as alternatives to carts.
