What’s inside: The 3,100-square-feet spread features a massive living room that houses a fireplace, grand piano, entertainment center and study corner. An adjoining dining room sports a table with seating for 10 -- perfect for conferences, a family meal or a competitive Scrabble game. In the master bedroom: a sitting area with a fireplace, walk-in closet and flat screen TV that rises from the foot of the bed. What else you get: For starters, an enviable SoCal coastal location just south of Newport Beach that yields some of the nation’s best weather. The Robert Trent Jones Jr. course isn't long from the tips, but it plays every bit of its 6,600 yards thanks to bold bunkering, a wide variety of hazard-laced holes and one true stunner, the par-4 3rd, which features a full frontal of the Pacific Ocean. Top dining options include Stonehill Tavern, which rolls out inspired cuisine and a wine list to match, and the private Monarch Bay Club, for beachside dining with flair. The award-winning Spa Gaucin has a lengthy menu of rejuvenating treatments, a fitness center, an outdoor lap pool and a movement studio. The resort’s main pool offers ocean views and luxe cabanas; if you’re itching to feel the sand between your toes, a Surf Butler can assist—in or out of the water.

Monarch Beach Golf Links is a stunning Robert Trent Jones Jr. design.
