A yardage read has never seemed more confusing than the conversation between Tom Watson and caddie Neil Oxman at the U.S. Senior Open last week.

Watson needed some numbers on the par-4 third during the first round of play. He was sitting two over par and needed a good second shot to get one back. So he called on caddie Oxman.

The two go back and forth (and back and forth) several times before settling on a yardage. Maybe poor Oxman does not have quite the penchant for on-the-spot math work.

Take a look at the clip below. H/t to Golf Digest for bringing this -- and ensuing chuckles -- to our attention.
