Has Patrick Reed been working out?

The PGA Tour is in the New York City area this week for The Barclays - the first of four playoff events to decide the FedEx Cup - and the Tour has been taking full advantage of the communications capital of the world, holding a number of media appearances for their players.

On Monday we watched Jordan Spieth "flip the switch" at the Empire State Building, lighting the iconic building with FedEx’s colors to signal the start of the playoffs.

Tuesday, it was Reed’s turn. Reed was invited to ring the closing bell at the NYSE, but it seems he forgot how strong he was. With his third strike of the gavel, the head pops right off and flies into the crowd standing below.  Reed quickly took to Twitter afterwards to say, "They told me to give it 3 good hits, so I did."

We can only assume that Reed’s immediate response to the incident was:

When Patrick Reed was invited to ring the closing bell at that the NYSE, no one saw this coming.
