Bubba Watson decided to use some of his time in China this week to tackle a Guinness World Record for fastest time to play a hole. Watson, along with three teammates, chose a 503-yard par-5 hole at the Genzon Golf Club as the site of their attempt. Bubba’s drive over the water was good enough to make an eagle possible in just 23 seconds.
Bubba was potentially inspired by the European Tour’s video from the Spanish Open showing teams from France, Denmark, and Spain try to break the same fastest hole record. Team France came out on top, with a time of 34.8 seconds on the par-5 fourth hole at Valderrama Golf Club. The previous record was 68 seconds.
Watson is obviously having a blast in China this week. He has posted videos of him and Kiradech Aphibarnrat playing night golf and having a push up competition, making fun of himself for his "mudball" outrage last season and even got #PrayforTedScott in on the action. Check out the videos below.
