After a rough showing in her first appearance as a pro at the Dubai Ladies Masters, and just days after she seemed to consider taking a break from social media, Paige Spiranac took to Instagram to thank her fans for their support. Spiranac played golf in college but has yet to break out on the pro golf scene; she has her many social media followers to thank for the sponsor invitation that snagged her a spot in Dubai.
Although she fell short in the tournament, Spiranac kept her outlook sunny in the post, a sharp contrast to her emotional comments doubting her future in golf that she gave just after walking off the course. "I grew up a lot this week and I’ll come out stronger for it," she wrote in the heartfelt message to her supporters. "I'm sorry I couldn’t give you something to cheer for this week. It can only go up from here.”
In an interview with Arabian Golf TV that she gave just before the tournament, Paige talked about Adam Scott's pretty swing, her admiration for Phil Mickelson's short game, and her "random" social media fame.
