MLB-Leading Chicago Cubs Recharge at Pebble Beach on Day Off
It's been a season to remember so far for the Chicago Cubs on the field, but on Thursday they added a lifelong memory on the course.
Having accumulated an MLB-leading record of 72-41 in 2016, the Cubs took advantage of a much-deserved day off last week to hit the links together at Pebble Beach. Naturally, the phones came out, and the round was well-documented by the players. The relaxing day on Monterey Peninsula seems to have paid off, as they went on to sweep the Oakland Athletics over the next three days.
Whether or not the Loveable Losers' storybook season will end with their first World Series title since 1908 is another story. Check out photos from their Pebble round below.
