Jason Day is not competing in this week's Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, however he did manage to make an appearance on a national telecast of a sporting event Thursday.
The 2015 PGA Champion was on the sidelines for the Detroit Lions' Thursday Night Football matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Day has been spending time at home in Columbus, Ohio, recently, following the birth of his daughter and second child, Lucy Adenil Day, but wound up making a trip to Detroit for the game.
Day wasn't simply watching the game, though. The 28-year-old appeared to be part of the NFL's sideline film crew. He was holding a video camera and rocking a backwards hat and an NFL-labeled sweatshirt, looking the part.
So PGA Championship winner Jason Day is at the Packers and Lions game tonight as... a camera man? pic.twitter.com/Bn3fTwNgk9— Brad Galli (@BradGalli) December 4, 2015
We know Day isn't quitting his day job, especially after a season that included five victories, his first major championship title and nearly $10 million in earnings on the course. What we don't know is what exactly he was doing with a video camera in hand at the game. We've got a call in to Day's agent, Bud Martin, for the details. Stay tuned.
