Things have changed for golfers since 1959, and Gary Player has the check to prove it. 

Posting on Twitter for #ThrowbackThursday, Player uploaded a photo of a royalties check from 1959 with the caption: "#TBT to £5 royalty checks from @SlazengerSport in 1959 = about £100 today. Young bucks in today’s game have it made!"

Indeed they do. Rory McIlroy signed with Nike for a reported $250 million in 2013. It would take quite a few checks from Slazenger to match that figure.
