Ok, we're a little jealous of Britney Spears.
The 33-year-old just bought a golfer's dream home in Thousand Oaks, California. The specs: 13,264 square feet, five bedrooms, seven and 1/2 baths, wine cellar, tennis court, two private gates and a $7.4 million price tag.
And to avoid burying the lead too deeply: a 3-green golf course smack dab in the backyard.
That's right, tucked away on the 20 acre lot sit three practice greens -- complete with bunkering! Even though Spears' former mates (Justin Timberlake and Kevin Federline) were avid golfers, we don't think the selling point for Spears was the golf. But still. This is cool.
The $7.4 million (not to mention the $1,836/month HOA dues) is quite a hefty price tag though. For that money, she could join Trump National Bedminster ($350,000), buy 365 days worth of sessions with noted golf instructor Jim McLean ($1,750/each = $638,000 total), buy all new golf equipment ($3,000), spend the week with Jack Nicklaus learning all of the Golden Bear's secrets (priceless), play Pebble Beach 100 times ($600/round + caddie fees and logoed golf shirt to send her dad = $50,000) and STILL have $6.35 million to spend on a mansion.
Could the former teen-pop sensation be investing in a new-found interest in the game? If so, she's got a perfect line for those not-so-great shots: "Oops, I did it again!"
