SeeMore PTM3 Putter

Category: Midsize Mallet Putters
Price: $195
WE TESTED:
34”, 35” shaft lengths
KEY TECHNOLOGIES: The stainless steel head comes standard with 2.5° loft.

PROS

DISTANCE CONTROL: The unique and effective alignment aid allows you to focus solely on distance, without fear of improper aim; a few testers really like the PTM3 on slower greens.
FEEL: Has a lighter head feel than most putters in this category; the soft face is loaded with feedback; center hits feel buttery and slight misses are soft, but they also hint at how you hit it; toe hang accommodates open-to-closed strokes.
LOOK: A lovely combination of traditional and modern; this tasteful, all-black mallet—with the classic SeeMore setup—struck our testers’ fancy; no frills here, just a pretty face, alignment guide and red dot; the visual aid helps to prevent excessive forward press, which can often throw off aim.

CONS

The PTM3 is probably best in the hands of a skilled putter, as it lacks the forgiveness that its peers provide; some testers want a weightier head; the center-shaft setup doesn’t suit everyone’s taste; the soft face can require some getting used to.

BOTTOM LINE: If you want a putter that almost automatically gives you proper alignment, look no further—SeeMore delivers yet again. Combine that with a sweet feel and an attractive look and you have one of the company’s sharpest offerings yet.
