The new three-piece Nike Method Origin putter, which has already been used by Charl Schwartzel and Rory McIlroy to win this year, will soon be available to the public.

Designed with input from Tiger Woods and McIlroy, the Method Origin is a classic blade packed with plenty of technology including the same RZN material used in Nike golf balls.

Placed between the face and body of the clubhead, the soft RZN adds significant forgiveness on off-center hits, reducing distance loss while increasing accuracy.

"The response is incremental across the face. A hit on the center of the face elicits a dampening effect," says David Franklin, Nike Golf Master Modelmaker. "The more off-center the hit, the more the RZN compresses and the more energy is returned to the ball. The response is similar to our Compression Channel and improves consistency across the face."

Another prominent feature of the new model is the polymetal groove technology that includes full-length horizontal grooves. This design, which features twice the number of grooves as the previous Method models, is aimed at creating a faster, more consistent roll at impact with less skidding and a softer feel.

Currently the two Method Origin models (B1-01, B2-01) are being used on Tour by McIlroy, Schwartzel, Scott Pinckney, Russell Henley, Nick Watney, and Ross Fisher, among others.

The Nike Method Origin putter will be available on April 22nd.
