Category: Better Player Hybrids

We tested: 20° and 23° with Mitsubishi Fubuki graphite shaft

Company line: "A compact head shape, low-profile design and 'Hot Metal' stainless steel maraging face combine to create a large COR area for maximum ball speed and distance. Our patented crown design and internal weights create a low center of gravity (CG) for easier launch, while the unique sole reduces turf drag and improves versatility."

PROS: Testers like its lower, more boring trajectory—no ballooning at all; the MP-CLK really performs from the rough and other iffy lies; very versatile clubs, panelists can shape shots in both directions more so than with many other hybrids; balanced feel throughout the swing; nimble head makes it a viable option around the greens.

CONS: A bit of a muted feel at impact; low-ball hitters might want to look elsewhere; two-tone clubhead and

$200, graphite;
