Ping Scottsdale TR Grayhawk Putter
Category: High-MOI Mallet Putters
Price: $180
WE TESTED:
34" shaft length
KEY TECHNOLOGIES: The aluminum face insert feels and sounds similar to a traditional steel face.

PROS
DISTANCE CONTROL: Its strongest asset -- very easy to dial in the proper distance on short or long putts; consistent impact and response make for repeatable speeds; face gets the ball moving quickly and true.
FEEL: More distinct feedback than a typical high-MOI putter; holed putts come off with a "tink" sound that lets you know you struck it well; mis-hits send useful signals to your hands and ears; putts go toward the hole with no wasted momentum.
LOOK: The Scottsdale TR Grayhawk is a sophisticated yet simple design that offers no distractions; uncluttered appearance; white sight line runs the entire length of the head and forms a "T" for easy aiming.

CONS
A few testers note a disparity between mis-hits and well-struck putts in terms of distance; other guys find it takes some effort to get the ball to the hole on slower greens due to a light impact feel.

BOTTOM LINE: One of the highest-rated models in the test. It receives strong marks for feel and distance control.
