The first titanium-headed Tight Lies fairway wood features an updated crown slot. Folks, don't be fooled by its sleek, smooth look -- an acrylic material masks the channel so it's basically invisible at address (and much less distracting visually!)
The slot itself is thinner than in previous Tight Lies models but has wider, more rounded ends, which leads to more flex across the clubface and 2-3 mph faster ball speeds than last year's stainless steel Tight Lies for 10+ yards more distance. A heavy (77-gram) tungsten-stainless soleplate contributes to the lowest, deepest CG of any Adams fairway wood to date.
Slower swingers, in particular, will appreciate how easy it is to get shots airborne. In fact, the Tight Lies Ti produces, on average, a 3-degree higher launch angle, and is 3 yards longer, than existing XTD Ti woods. The nonadjustable titanium club will be in stores beginning October 23. Lofts: 13.5°, 15°, 18°. $249 each.
