CATEGORY: Better Player Fairway Woods
PRICE: $300
WE TESTED: 4-5 (adjusts 16° to 19°) with King LTD Aldila Rogue Black 70 graphite shaft
KEY TECHNOLOGIES: King LTD has the lowest CG of any Cobra fairway wood to date.

PLAYABILITY: The compact, low-spin clubhead allows you to manufacture shots; the King LTD can handle tough lies like divots, rough and even fairway bunkers.
ACCURACY/FORGIVENESS: Nice, straight ball flight on solid hits; covers up enough for you so shots stay close to the target when you don't catch the sweet spot.
DISTANCE: Testers get plenty of carry; long off the tee -- a sweet option on short par 4s; gives guys about what they expect from fairway lies; no huge distance losses on misses.
FEEL: Stable and weighty through the swing; powerful sensation at impact convinces guys that they've crushed it; distinct sound at impact provides enough feedback regarding quality of contact.
LOOK: A small clubhead with a cool Cobra emblem on the crown that functions as a useful alignment aid; the black-and-orange color scheme looks sweet, while the black face gives it a stealthy setup.

For some panelists, it flies too low off the fairway -- flat trajectory can make it a challenge to hold greens; a few guys find it noticeably better off a tee than from the deck.

BOTTOM LINE: The King LTD packs the punch of a second driver. Three degrees of loft adjustability per club gives you the flexibility to find your best ball flight and address yardage gaps.
