We tested: 3-PW with Project X steel shaft

Company line: "We designed X-Forged based on Tour feedback. The set is for elite players who demand the highest level of performance. A thin topline, narrow sole and short blade length allow you to control shot trajectory and shape on demand."

OUR TESTERS SAY:
PROS: One of the highest-rated irons; significantly longer distance, up to one full club, than many traditional forgings; high ball flight throughout the set; surprisingly good forgiveness and an excellent performer from rough; springy feel at impact; many panelists said they'd like to purchase these sticks.

CONS: Not quite as soft at impact as you might expect; a bit less playable in regard to shotmaking than some pure blades; Project X shaft is good for some testers but may not suit everyone.
