England's Lee Westwood has been on a nice run lately. He won the Dubai World Championship two weeks ago, his second victory of the season, and clinched the European Tour's money title for the year. The win lifted him to No. 4 in the world rankings. Here in the United States, before the start of the Chevron World Challenge, Westwood signed a new contract to extend his endorsement deal with Ping Golf. The photo below shows Westwood (center) signing the documents while flanked on the left by his manager, Chubby Chandler, and Ping Golf's Chance Crosby on the right.
While the financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, Westwood’s headwear will now prominently display the company's branding on the front and back and he'll continue to use a Ping bag.
In a statement released by Ping, Westwood said, "I've been with Ping since my junior golf days." He added, "Whether I'm in Europe, America or another part of the world, they look after my equipment needs on a daily basis. Their service is unmatched."
Westwood uses 14 Ping clubs and you can see a complete list of them here.
