According to a source at Cleveland Golf, Vijay Singh has been testing a few of the companies newest woods, as well as a previous-released ball, as he gets ready for the 2010 season. He is experimenting with a new Launcher DST driver, which designed to be lighter than almost every other driver on the market, so it should increase Singh's swing speed and add yards off the tee. Cleveland says Singh is also trying the DST fairway woods too.
But what is most interesting is that Singh seems to be practicing with a different ball. He played with the Srixon Z-Star X through the end of the 2009 season, but has been using a slightly-softer Srixon Z UR ball recently. With the new groove rule changes ready to go into effect for the pros on January 1, many of the game's best players are switching to softer golf balls to help them compensate for the reduced spin they will get around the greens with their new wedges.
