Trion:Z Goes Titanium

TrionzAngel Cabrera wore a white and blue bracelet as he won the U.S. Open at Oakmont. Boo Weekley wore a red and yellow bracelet as he won the Verizon Heritage at Hilton Head Island this April. They were both made by a company called Trion:Z and had therapeutic magnets inside.

Trion:Z recently announced a new titanium bracelet, the MagTitan Palette ($149.95). According to the company, it is "designed to be a more-dressy version of the Trion:Z technology, to continue delivering its therapeutic benefits from the locker room to the boardroom and more formal social gatherings." According to WebMD.com, magnets don't do much to relieve pain. However, Butch Harmon started wearing Trion:Z bracelets in April 2006, and the Media area of the company's Web site is full of press clippings and images of athletes winning while wearing the Trion:Z. --David Dusek
