This $1 million course design done by Arnold Palmer was cut to about $500,000 as a gift from Palmer to help Grand Forks recover from the 1997 Red River flood. It was carved from a totally flat piece of farmland on the edge of Grand Forks. Multiple ponds and hillocks were created. When Palmer visited the finished product a couple years ago he rated it in his top 10-20 designs. A clubhouse meeting room is dedicated to one of Palmer's management team members by the name of Peter Lloyd who hails from GF and was instrumental in making the course happen.
