I have to rate this one high even though I do not like the layout of Dye courses. Excellent condition and great staff.
george_34I spent over a week at the PGA in Port Saint Lucie Academy in 2005. My instructor was Mr. Eric Hogge. We had a great time and terrific instruction. Thanks Eric it was great!!
Well, the course is a Dye course that I favor the most of many great golf course Architects. I enjoy playing Chess golf as I call it, lots of target golf, iron play. There are many small bunkers in the middle of fairways, wind to deal with, calculate your route to paradise (green). I agree with George, staff is 10 and it was a real great experience. Cheers to all and hope to see you guys soon. GD, Sao Paulo, Brazil
mac4evrI've played the Dye Course about a dozen times during visits to my mother, who lives in PGA Village. Its one of the few courses I can break 100 on from the forward tees. The wide and forgiving waste bunkers are a plus, but the larger fairway pot bunkers can be difficult with their deep sand and towering sides. Ball placement is important but not crucial; many of the fairways are wide enough to handle a not-so-straight shot off the tee. The course was rated one of the Top 50 Courses for Women in 2005, '06 & '07 by Golf for Women magazine. I'm looking forward to my next visit to the Village so I can tackle the Dye again!
