I like Tartan Pines. I hate the greens, Fairways are smooth. And the tree line typically hides the wind. Unfortuntely playing from the Blues is not enough if you hit consecutive 280-300 yard drives..for a challenge the Blacks is where you should play, especially the back 9. From the Blues i was shooting in the low seventies and had one 69. From the blacks i was also shooting in the low seventies but it was definetely more challenging. Eagles are very easy to make on the par fives..with a good 280 yard drive and a solid fairway wood or hybrid an eagle is extremely promising...if you can putt. Biggest mistake people make is actually hitting into the treeline, The deeper you get the harder the shot, also the pine straw makes a very difficult shot to hit off of. But as fr as the fairways go its eay and with a good iron shot the putts are usually easy. The downside is that the greens can be tricky to read because they are in bad shape..maybe to the lack of watering or the lack of seed? All i know is they need to be completely redone because im tired of the greens. I would reccomend this course if you are thinking between Tartan or Enterprise colf club...and if you dont want to drive all the way to trent jones' TPGC is the way to go...
