\nMichigan's Upper Peninsula is heating up as a golf destination, and July saw the opening of Sweetgrass Golf Club, owned and operated by the Hannahville Band of the Potawatomi Nation.

\nThe 7,275-yard, par-72 layout is named for the native grass that grows nearby. Memorable holes include No. 12, with a huge swale carved into its midsection, and the classic Redan hole at the 230-yard 7th. Par-5s that share both a massive green and waterfalls in the lake between their fairways close each nine.
