Tiger Woods came up short in his attempt to three-peat at last year's Accenture Match Play Championship at La Costa (David Toms won). But you still can match your game against Tiger's at this spa resort north of San Diego. La Costa will host its seventh Match Play event this month (Feb. 20-26).

The tournament course at La Costa is a mix-and-match affair: the front nine is actually the back nine of the South Course, while the back nine consists of holes 1-3 and 13-18 of the North Course. For one month after the pros skip town (Tuesdays only) you can play this composite course. To complete your fantasy, request a caddie ahead of time. Then make like Davis Love III and growl at any spectators.

Greens fees are $185 (Monday-Thursday) and $195 on weekends. For guests, rates are $20 less. Rooms at La Costa start at $325. The Destination La Costa Package includes accommodations, two 50-minute spa treatments or two rounds of golf (or one of each) and starts at $525 per night. 800-854-5000,
