The weather may be the biggest draw (the average daytime high in January is 70 degrees), but for folks on fixed incomes, the affordable home and golf prices are also enticing. Golf at the executive courses is free for life, and for a manageable fee you can also join the championship courses, two of which have played host to LPGA events. The Villages is also a great choice for those monitoring any health issues. It's home to a variety of doctors and dentists as well as its own medical center, The Villages Regional Hospital.
