DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - The LPGA Tour said Wednesday that it will open its season in January for the first time in 13 years, beginning with the Bahamas LPGA Classic on Jan. 23-26.

The inaugural Bahamas event was played in late May this year. The flooding-plagued tournament was reduced to three 12-hole rounds.
