Crane was #125 in the FedEx Cup rankings going into the Barclays.

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Ben Crane's season came to an abrupt end Friday when he withdrew from The Barclays with a back injury.

Crane was happy just to get into the FedEx Cup playoffs as the 125th and final player to qualify. He opened with a 67, a good start toward moving into the top 100 players who advance to the second playoff event next week outside Boston.

But after four holes of second round, the Crane withdrew with an injury to his lower back.

He says he is disappointed, but there was a level of pain that he couldn't take any longer.

He made a rap video called ``Bubble Boy'' that he put on YouTube before the opening round, making light of the fact he was the last man in the field.
