Tiger Woods didn't play well on Friday at the Phoenix Open.

Not only did he miss his second-consecutive cut for the first time in his career, Woods carded an 82 to set a career-high for an event on the PGA Tour. And he's in 132nd place.

Ouch.

But Woods was in as good of spirits as possible after his round as he opened up his press conference with a reference to Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch with a "I'm just here so I don't get fined."

Woods explained his chipping woes by saying he was "caught between patterns—old pattern, new pattern."

“I got it better, more committed to what I was doing on my back nine and hit some better shots," Woods said. "But I’ve still got a lot of work to do.”

To look on the bright side, he's got his post-round press conference game in major form.
